Fluorescent penetrant inspection is an NDT technique that will find surface flaws in a wide variety of materials. The UV lights used during inspection highlight a defect and result in an extremely sensitive and cost effective inspection.
Magnetic particle inspection is an inspection technique that will reveal surface and slightly subsurface flaws in ferrous materials. Fluorescent particles accumulate in areas of high magnetic flux creating an indication that must be evaluated.
Passivation is a chemical process resulting in a chemically clean surface for all types of stainless steel. A chemically clean surface is extremely important to maintain the corrosion preventative properties of various stainless steels.
Pre-penetrant etch is a controlled removal of surface material that can obscure a flaw in material. This is usually required after a metal smearing process. Our 12' pre-penetrant etch line can accommodate a large variety of parts.
